Modern booking platform for property rentals

Our client needed a modern, user-friendly platform for listing, searching, and booking vacation rental properties. The goal was to deliver a scalable and visually polished web application that provides a seamless user experience, mobile responsiveness, secure payment integration, and reliable backend infrastructure—all while keeping the MVP scope clear and cost-efficient.

We leveraged amodern tech stack (React.js, TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, TailwindCSS and PostgreSQL) trusted by the world’s leading digital platforms (e.g., Facebook, Netflix, TikTok). This means high performance and flexibility at its core.

Clean layout with quick search, featured properties, and responsive design.

Dynamic property listings filtered by location, date, and number of guests.

Rich descriptions, image galleries, amenities, price breakdowns, availability, and reviews.

User Profile & Booking History

Users can manage preferences, view current/past bookings, and handle cancellations.

Authentication

Secure login and registration pages built with privacy in mind.

Booking Engine

A robust availability and reservation system with Lodgify handling much of the backend complexity, which significantly reduced implementation time and cost. To top it off, there is also an embedded search widget with date and guest selector throughout the site for fast booking initiation.

Additional Integrations

There was a need for a chatbot as well and because Lodgify does not provide an embedded chatbot option, we had to look elsewhere. While we ended up with Tidio, there are other similar tools like Smartsupp, Tawk, etc. 

For the payments of the bookings the obvious option was Stripe (Adyen was also a strong contender). One last thing to consider was user reviews - absolute key for any rental owner. In this case, it is handled by a Trustpilot integration. However there are again other options like Google reviews and so on.

We discussed the potential for future AI chatbot implementation. While not part of the MVP due to complexity, we identified it as a future growth opportunity that could greatly enhance user experience.
