The castle complex started as a 13th-century Cistercian monastery and was later converted into a Renaissance and Baroque castle under the Kinský family. Today it is home to the award-winning New Generation Museum, an immersive multimedia experience that explores nearly 800 years of history using light, sound and animated storytelling. The castle hosts concerts, festivals, workshops, creative residencies and educational programs for children and adults. Visitors can enjoy guided tours of the grounds, stay overnight in historic tower rooms and on-site guesthouses, or relax in the castle café. The castle grounds are open year-round, with special programs like teambuilding, weddings and seasonal events in summer and winter.
