For what projects/services did your company hire Moravio, and what were your goals?

Moravio helped codevelop or own entire projects within JLLT, the main benefit was accelerate development of newly formed products or boost existing ones.

‍

Solution

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We knew Moravio from past and we heard they provide excellence service to great companies.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Moravio helped to build 4 products in our portfolio, I have collaborate with Moravio on 3 of them. One of them was Jet, where Moravio was codeveloping features. I have managed directly team working on newly branded products, where Moravio was responsible for starting the codebase, rapid development to deliver MVP, and responsible for architecture of application and its integration with other products.

They have delivered well-tested, well architected and KISS. They were reliable developers. The main technologies were

  • NodeJS

  • TypeScript

  • React

  • Kafka

  • Azure

  • AWS

How many people from the vendor’s team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Moravio provided the entire engineering team needed for building the products. Backend, Frontend, the ratio was 1:2. They also were able to provide team lead and architect.

‍

Results

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Moravio always delivered on expectations and time. They were running regular agile process with us and were strong partners to product management and user experience team, where they collaborated on solutions.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We collaborated with Moravio thru Slack, Jira.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The ability to collaborate on solution with product team and be part of solution. Moravio never provided developers, they have provided team members with ability to be part of the solution of the product problems, which we have faced. They have always spent time to learn domain of product and were able to actively propose technical solutions and opportunities.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In early stages of product they had a tendency to overcommit to complex things, which looked simple on first sight. But after sprint or two, we have calibrated collaboration and expectations on technical analysis and estimates of solutions.
